My cute Mom and Dad competed in the Huntsman World Senior Games this year. Yes you heard me right...Senior Games. You are eligible to compete when you turn 50. They are in the classification "Baby Seniors." I was able to go see them at the finish line. This cute pic is after they finished catching their breath. The hill climb up Snow Canyon is burly. I can barely do it. My Dad took 7th in his division, and my Mom took 2nd. I couldn't believe how competitive the "Seniors" are. They did great and I am so proud of them!!! Love you guys. Seniors???

Hiking the Narrows, August 2008
Any parent with youngins knows that the thought of hiking with your kids sounds good, until you actually go, and then its never ending questions "Are we there yet?" or "How much farther?" or "I'm hot!!!" But I thought it would be perfect to hike the narrows because you are in water most of the time and if you go early enough, you are in the shade most of the time. We decided to have one last adventure before going back to school. This shot was right when we started. Then we got a little more adventurous.
By about 10 minutes into the hike, they were all so excited. They kept saying "This is the coolest hike ever!!!" The next thing I knew they were wading all the way in.
I'm telling you, there was not one complaint about how tired they were, how hot it was or when we were going to be done. It was amazing. We packed a picnic lunch, and they of course had waterbottles in their backpacks, but as we were nearing the end of the hike, Morgan asked me to hold her backpack because it was heavy. I'm not kidding...when I took it over it probably weighed 15 pounds. She was carrying water around from when she went swimming. The water got trapped in there!!!! It was pretty funny. They are pretty good sports.

Fun, fun, fun!!!
Of course Morgan found the mud eventually!

Yay!!! Pictures!!!
Okay, I realized that you don't necessarily have to have your software to download the pictures. I found my USB cable and wa la. But...I also realized that I don't take enough pictures, so I will make that one of my new goals. We are getting family pics done in a couple of weeks, so hopefully there will be some really cute ones to post. (I have to keep up with the cuteness of the Durr Blog.) It's funny because Kristi always used to give me a hard time because she thought my homemade cards were always so cute and she felt like hers weren't as cute as mine. Well, now she is getting me back because I don't think I could ever keep up with how cute her blog is. Oh well, its not like its a competition. (As if!!!) By the way, don't think I am a freak because I am blogging in the middle of the night. I work graveyards, and sometimes I have a lot of down time.
:-( No Pictures???
Thanks to my little sis, I now am a fellow blogger. I have had so much fun looking at her blog and most of all keeping up on little Zaiden since he was born. I just had to start my own. However, I am waaaaaay behind on my pictures (I haven't developed a picture for at least a year.) Ever since we got a digital camera (can you say "instant gratification") I haven't developed very many pictures unless I was going to give them as a gift or scrapbook them. So now my problem is that I can't find the software that came with my camera to download them to my computer. Uh oh!!! Bear with me while I figure out a way to get some pics.
